Comic Book Sale/Giveaway!

So I was going through some old junk in the spare room when I happened upon a large bag of old comic books. I had thought i'd gotten rid of the better portion of them, but this bag was HUGE. I could barely lift it.

That said, would anyone like all of them...any of them? If you'd be willing to front the cost of shipping i'd be more than happy to ship them out to you. And if you geniunely want to BUY the whole load from me (that would make me super happy), i'd be willing to talk with you about price. Almost every single one of these comics is in good shape, with no tears or real damage. They're yellowing at the tippy tops of the pages because they're almost 15 years old and they haven't been in bags.

I'd be more than happy to take pictures...blah blah blah.

Again, please have a looksie at these. In the end, i'd just like to get rid of them. They're taking up space that I don't have and I don't think i'm ever going to sit down and read them again, nor am I ever going to pick up comic collecting as a hobby again. These days comic book stories SUCK, but back in the 90's they were GOLDEN. That was the most awesome years to be into comics.

Hey chickie, can I get a snapshot of this one:
Wolverine and Gambit Victims (miniseries): 1-4

Hubby loves Wolvie and I can't recall us getting this one. He's uber picky about condition though, so if I think he'd be okay with it/them, it would make a good Xmas gift for him. I know we have a bunch of the Nightwing ones but I don't remember which and I'm not into digging through boxes. I can't remember where the damn list of them all went to either.

That is awesome! How much do you want for all 4?

Oh! I saw some nice yarn at Zellers the other day. It's not quite the rainbow stuff you were looking for, but it has squiggly bits of all different colours in it. The background colour is a very dark blue with the squiggles (they look like bouillon knots) in very bright colours. Do you want me to pick that up for you for the hat/scarf we talked about or are you still looking for the rainbow yarn yourself (assuming the yarn is still there tomorrow)?

How about we just do like...the original cost of all four plus shipping? They were originally $2.95 a piece so wanna go with an even 20$? That way I can send them up to you and get back what I originally spent. That'll work.

And OMGOSH that sounds GREAT! Go ahead and pick that up for the hat and stuff. I trust your judgement on this sort of thing. I looked for two hours the other day and couldn't find a damn thing. *sad*

I hope the yarn is still there. It likely is and it was in the sale bin so it'll probably be a good price. I'll let you know if it's there and if I picked it up (I may see something more in line with what you described).

Sounds good to me! As long as its good for american muneeys I am a-ok with it. I'll even put the four comics into nice little acid free bags for your hubby. They're in such nice condition i'd hate to spoil them.

Dude...I'm about to finish another short chapter of Enemy's Toils tonight. First person flows so much faster for me than third. I'm not sure why. Any thoughts?

Man, the late '80s/'90s were fun, weren't they? I can see the flaws now, looking back, but that's what got me into comics, and damned if I won't have a soft spot for that stuff forever! Oh, X-Force, with your ridiculously complicated plot-lines and Liefeldian pouches...

OMGosh I used to love X-Force. They were the best with their emo complexes and "intense" relationships. Domino was always a favorite.

She was in a few issues of Cable & Deadpool (a frickin' awesome series I recommend you buy the trades for), but I think she showed up most recently in the latest X-Force aka Stabbity-Stabbity-Death-Death-Death. Cast is Wolverine, Warpath, X-23, Wolfsbane, Hepzibah for a while, Angel who can now apparently become metal-winged Archangel at will, supporting Elixir, and so on. Can't say for sure if she appears, though, and can't be bothered to find out...

On a different note: New Warriors #20 is going to be the last issue, which means Jubilee and Chamber are free from that nice premise/awful execution nightmare. Here's hoping we'll see them elsewhere soon.
